Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
19-year-old Flavia Bautista was last seen at a friend's house on the 500 block of Southwest Boulevard on 9/24/2012. Bautista's boyfriend, Francisco Mayoral-Bautista, was present at the house that night when friends say the couple had a fight. Upon returning to the house the next day around 4 p.m., a friend discovered Bautista missing. They also discovered a broken window and blood on the floor. It was unclear who the blood belonged to, but it appeared that the victim may not have left voluntarily. Neither Bautista nor Mayoral-Bautista have been seen since.
Francisco Mayoral-Bautista, 25, is currently the Vineland Police Department's main "person of interest" in the case. A warrant was issued for his arrest on simple assault charges. He was last scene driving a black two-door Hyundai Tiburon with North Carolina license plates. Police were called to the same home the night before her disappearance because of an altercation involving the couple. Mayoral-Bautista was gone by the time police arrived.
Flavia Bautista has a Facebook account that is regularly updated, but “constant attempts to locate and speak” with her have been unsuccessful. Police said an investigation revealed that the couple’s relationship was very abusive. Bautisita may not seek help out of fear.
