Details of Disappearance
Gloria Berreth was reported missing on October 4, 1994 after she had not shown up for work at Peterson Airforce Bace.
She was last heard from at 6:30 am on October 4, 1994. Gloria Berreth had custody of two daughters who were 5 and 11 in 1994. She disappeared on the same day she was to meet her ex-husband at a Colorado Springs restaurant. On the morning of October 4, 1994, Gloria Berreth sent a message to her cousin saying that she was going to meet her husband at the Perkins Restaurant at Platte Avenue and Chelton Road for breakfast. She had divorced her husband in 1993, but conflicts between the former couple only got worse over the next year as she filed two restraining orders against him.
She never showed up for work that afternoon at the Peterson Air Force base exchange and didnít pick her children up.
Michael Berreth told police he was scheduled to meet his estranged wife at 6:30 a.m. for breakfast. But, he told police that he had waited around for about a half hour before he left.
Gloria's car was found abandoned at the Hancock Plaza shopping center weeks later. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
