    • Details of Disappearance
    Bierman called in sick to work during the morning of February 22, 1999 in Felton, California.
    He was last being seen in Felton, where he owned a house and worked for a utility company.

    His truck was discovered abandoned on San Lorenzo Way in Felton near the San Lorenzo River shortly afterwards. Bierman's keys were in the ignition. It was parked near a land slide, where Bierman did emergency pipe repairs several days before he vanished. He'd put Post-Its all over the dash to remind him of daily tasks.

    There was no sign of him at the scene. An extensive search of the surrounding area and the river produced no evidence as to Bierman's whereabouts.
