Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
On May 6th, 1952 a four man fishing and trapping team was returning from Lynn Lake on dog sleds after purchasing supplies. Bonner and his friend were in the lead sled. The team that was traveling with them was approximately 1.5 miles behind. When approximately 200 yards from BONNER's sled, they noticed both men had gone through the ice. When the second group arrived on scene both men had disappeared beneath the water. One of the men was pulled from the water but could not be revived. Bonner never surfaced and despite dragging operations he could not be located.
