Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Diane Marie Bourne was last seen at her residence in Ashton, Ontario, on March 6, 1976. A government of Canada employee who commuted to her job in Ottawa, Mrs. Bourne never contacted any of her friends or relatives again. Extensive police investigation has failed to locate her.
Her husband repaired vehicles and worked their farm, which was in his family. The couple's children were one and three years old when their mother disappeared. Her husband told his relatives that he followed her footprints out of the house and into the snow the night she disappeared. He followed her footprints out and down the laneway and figured she had been picked up.
