Details of Disappearance
On October 30, 1982 at approximately 2:00 p.m. Daniel Christensen left the family cabin in the area of Long Lake, Manitoba. He left with the family dog and his intention was to go chicken hunting. At the time, he was carrying a 12 gauge shotgun. When he did not return home for dinner, his family began to search for him. On October 31, 1982 at 6:45 p.m. the family reported him missing to the Powerview Detachment. Extensive searches were done of the area by land and by air for several days with negative results. On November 6, 1982 the family dog returned to the cabin in good health. He has never been located.
