Details of Disappearance
Mr.Christensen left the Gilligan's Bar & Grill with a male friend name Mike. Mr. Christnesen may be involved in a romantic relationship with the gentleman named Mike. Mr. Christensen has not been heard from or seen since February 12th, 2011. An employee at Gilligan's Hideaway Bar became concerned on February 13 after he failed to show up at the bar, near Sahara and Eastern avenues, where he was a regular patron. He was reported as missing on February 15. On Feb. 20, police found Christensen's 2005 Hyundai Tucson in the parking lot of a Budget Suites on Boulder Highway near Flamingo Road.
Michael Benjamin Mills is facing a recommended charge of murder in connection with the disappearance of David Lee Christensen , whose body has not been found. Surveillance video from the bar showed Christensen leaving with Mills at 1:05 a.m. on Feb. 12. The bar employee told police that Mills and Christensen were having a relationship, and that Christensen asked her not to tell anybody because if Mills found out, Mills would "kill him." Mills told police he took Christensen home to sleep on his couch because Christensen was intoxicated. He said he later woke to find Christensen sexually assaulting him, and punched the man. Mills didn't admit killing Christensen, but did tell police that -- hypothetically -- if he had, he would have wrapped the body in beach towels and put it in his apartment complex's trash. Police searched Mills' apartment and discovered blood on his mattress and on the carpet near the front door.
