  • Details of Disappearance
    Collins' car was discovered as an abandoned vehicle on April 1, 1981 in Port Lavaca, TX. There was no sign of Collins herself. A flat tire had caused her to pull off the highway on the Port Lavaca side after crossing the state Highway Causeway. Witnessess reported that a light-colored van was seen near the spot, and the driver was seen with Collins, apparantly getting ready to change the tire.

    Collis had recently moved from Blessing to Lolita with her young son. She had gone to Port Lavaca for a doctor's appointment and to buy groceries. Foul play is suspected.
