Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Beverly Cummings , 54, left her house the morning of July 18 to run errands, telling her daughter she would be right back. She never returned. When Cummings did not return, the family checked the post office and found that the family mail had not been collected. The checks and credit cards she took with her have not been used.
Her car was later found in the Greenwater area of Pierce County during Labor Day weekend of 1990, with its frame bent and car parts scattered throughout the forest. Police questioned a man who admitted to finding the vehicle in a Greenwater forest and driving it into Auburn. It's believed the car had been in Greenwater no more than a few days. None of Cummings' belongings was found in or around the car. No clothes were missing from Beverly Cummings' closet, no makeup missing from the bathroom. The missing woman's family says it would be out of character for her to disappear. They said she loved her home and family.
