Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Yohanna Cyr was living with her mother, Lilianne, in the area of Saint-Laurent, Montreal, Quebec. In August 1978, her mother had to take a small trip and left Yohanna with her boyfriend.
When Lilianne returned home, Yohanna was nowhere to be found. Her boyfriend told her that he brought Yohanna to Boston to visit his mother. Lilianne and her boyfriend then travelled to Boston to pick her up. Upon her arrival, Lilianne found that her daughter was not there either. She returned home to Montreal and called the police to report her missing.
Her boyfriend was questioned and then released due to lack of evidence. The latter claimed that the child died during her mother’s absence and that she was buried before her return. The mother argued that her daughter was probably sold.
