  • Details of Disappearance
On Friday, April 2, 2004, in Cleveland, Ohio, Georgina DeJesus disappeared while she was walking home from school. The 14-year-old teenager was last seen at a pay telephone booth, sometime between 2:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., at the corner of 105th Street and Lorain Avenue.

A year before Gina went missing, 17-year-old Amanda Berry also disappeared from nearly the same spot. Police have no reason to believe the two cases are connected but are not ruling it out at this time. The FBI in Cleveland has released a sketch of a man they would like to question regarding the disappearance of Gina DeJesus (see below).

In September 2006, police dug up the garage floor at the home of Matthew Hurayt after a tip said he was involved in Georgina's disappearance. No evidence was found at the time. He is currently being held on unrelated charges.
