Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Jennifer DeLap disappeared on January 16, 1991, from her then-Boring-area home on Southeast Bohna Park Road. Her husband, Kim DeLap, told deputies he last saw her when she left for the coast with an unidentified man in a white sedan.
A year later, deputies conducted a thorough search of the house and the barn. Deputies also used a tracking dog to search the property.
Kim DeLap later was named by deputies as a prime suspect. However, he never was arrested and no charges were filed. In five years of marriage, Jennifer Delap filed for at least two restraining orders against Kim Delap and was hospitalized after several episodes of abuse, including times when, according to police, he heaved her through a window and threw her down a flight of concrete stairs.
