Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Dwayne Dicicco was last seen August 13, 1973 while living in Columbia Falls, Mt. He worked as a heavy equipment operator at the time. Before he disappeared he called his mother, promising to call again next week. He never called and was never seen again. Dicicco rode a motorcycle and loved to hunt and fish. His mother said he was not the type of person to walk away without telling anyone, and that he would not leave his equipment and guns behind .
Convicted killer Thomas Creech at one point confessed to the homicide of Dicicco. Creech was a professional hit-man for a motorcycle gang. He told police he took Dicicco to Lake Samanish in Washington, where he dumped the body from a boat. Police dragged the lake but did not recover Dicicco. Later Creech changed his story and said he only witnessed the murder and had seen Dicicco's body left in a cave in Montana. Dicicco has never been found.
