Details of Disappearance
Caleb was last seen on March 30, 2015.
He was last seen running errands for his employer on March 30, 2015 in and around Nocona, Texas. His personal vehicle was in the repair shop, so he borrowed a pickup truck from his employer.
The truck mysteriously reappeared just days later, its keys found on their proper hook at the business. Police have said they are unsure how it got there.
The teen's cellphone has not been used since the day he went missing and he has not posted to any of his social media accounts. Caleb is a high school senior and lives in Grapevine with his sister, but was in Nocona, Texas visiting his mother and working at a part-time job.
His mother filed a missing person’s report with Nocona Police on April 1. There has been an extensive search for the teenager as the Nocona Police were joined by the 97th District Attorney’s Office and the Texas Rangers.
The employer who lent Caleb the pickup, Ricky Dale Howard, was arrested on an unrelated weapons charge in May. Howard was convicted in 2007 in a series of bank fraud cases. Officials found several firearms after he gave them permission to search his properties after Caleb vanished. Howard is also charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault of a child stemming from incidents alleged to have occurred from 1996 to 2000. He has not been ruleed out as a suspect in Caleb's disapparance.
Foul play is suspected.
