Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Daniel was employed by Yellow Cab and his last fare before he disappeared on July 8, 2000 was logged on the same date to a Gulfport, MS address at 8:50 p.m. He was last seen at home, where he lived with his father and mother, at 11:00 p.m. by his father. In the morning a note was found stating that Daniel would be away from the house for a few days. On July 13, 2000 Daniel's cab was located in Florida at a Days Inn parking lot but no sign of Daniel has ever been found. Long Beach police searched the cab and found items that raised suspicion such as Daniel's glasses, checkbook that had been overdrawn for two weeks prior, and receipts for Econolodge 51 miles from where the cab was located. A backpack, toothpaste, and toothbrush receipt were found and in the trunk a bent golf club and duct tape. There were no traces of blood, fingerprints, or Daniel's .22 caliber gun his father gave him. Three credit cards were maxed out for $10,000 before he went missing. His case remains unsolved.
