Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Linda Endorf, a Western Airlines ticket agent, was dropped off for work at Sea-Tac Airport by James Endorf on December 8, 1976, but never reported to her job. Linda Sue Endorf was 31 when she disappeared, leaving behind her husband and a 13-year-old daughter. She was to have had a few days off work after December 8 but failed to report back December 15 as scheduled. Her husband reported her missing December 17. The husband's statements were inconsistant. There are no records that Linda Sue Endorf ever had contact with law enforcement, Social Security, unemployment compensation or other government agencies. Exactly two months after he reported his wife missing, James Endorf filed for divorce. In the noncontested action, he was awarded custody of the couple's 13-year-old daughter and ownership of the couple's home and other property. Linda has never been found.
James Endorf committed suicide in Pierce County after killing his second wife, Debra Ann, in 1993. The body of Debra Ann Endorf, 40, was found in the trunk of her maroon 1984 Cadillac, a day after James Endorf reported she had failed to return from a Sunday shopping trip.
