  • Details of Disappearance
    Evans was last seen in Plano, Texas on March 21, 2002. He was last heard via telephone at 4:00 p.m. It is believed that he was in the Plano area at one of his stores. However, when his wife returned home at 5:30 p.m., he was not there.

    His vehicle was located March 24, 2002 at a rest area on Interstate 20 in Terrell (Kaufman County), Texas. Mr. Evans' keys to the vehicle were underneath the driver's seat floor mat. It appeared that the vehicle had been parked and left for an unknown reason.
