Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Keiosha Felix was last seen on April 30, 2012, in Duson, Louisiana. Felix was in the state’s custody and was last seen leaving her aunt’s mobile home in the Duson area while on a weekend pass from the state. At the time, she was 15 years old with a 1-year-old daughter. Keiosha's mother was in jail at the time.
Three people, two of them relatives, were initially charged with kidnapping, simple rape, and obstruction of justice in Felix’s disappearance. Charges were eventually dropped against everyone who was initially arrested in her disappearance. The lead invesigator in the case was fired because of the arrests, as they were made without probalbe cause.
Police got a late start on the case because some of the Keiosha Felix’s family members had lied about having had contact with her. Police did not consider the girl missing until July 23. Police suspect Keiosha may have been abused, and are concerned for her safety.
Keiosha may be in the company of an adult male or an adult female. They may still be in the local area, or they may travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, or Houston, Texas.
