Details of Disappearance
Gene's wife claims that he was frustrated with life and stated that he might go to South America. The last time she saw him, she claims he stormed from their home, frustrated over retirement and working on his house. She claims that he left in his truck. She was unable to explain how his truck was in their driveway a couple of days after Gene disappeared. Friends claim that he confided that his marriage was rocky prior to his disappearance. He has not used his passport, credit cards or bank accounts since his disappearance.
As a favor to one of Gene's friends, an expert in geographic information systems technology and remote sensing was able to detect several disturbances on Gene's land that weren't there prior to his disappearance. The disturbances could be anything from a fallen tree, a rock slide, or some sort of digging. These findings were turned over to investigators. A psychic claims that Gene was shot inside of his home and buried somewhere on the property. Gene's parent have set up a trust to fund a continuing private investigation should the case not be resolved before they pass away.
November 2006 The Fremont County Sheriff's Office says they executed a search warrant on Gene and Lynn's 35-acre property
