  • Details of Disappearance
    Donna was last seen by friends around 2:30 p.m on November 10, 1980. After she failed to come home later that evening, her mother called the sheriff’s office to report her missing. Search dogs lost Donna's scent at a creek just a few feet away from her home.

    Wayne Smith claims he strangled Fowler when she came over to his shack and then dumped her body at the landfill in Weaverville. He is serving a life sentence in Los Angeles County.
