Details of Disappearance
Kelly Gray Gaskins, has been missing from West Dover, Beaufort County, NC since January 18, 2007.
In January 2007, Kelly violated her probation, leaving Chocowinity to move to Texas with her boyfriend Ervin Williams. He was wanted on several drug charges in Beaufort County. Williams took his mother's car across the state border without permission and drove to Mexico, leaving her with the $5,000 property bond she paid to get him out of jail. Williams and Kelly were planning to move to Mexico, according to police.
In March, Kelly’s best friend Virginia Wood left school at Appalachian State University and drove to Texas for her freshman spring break. Kelly was last heard from when she called her mother saying that she was in Matomer, Mexico, near the Texas border, with her boyfriend. Two missing person reports were filed: one on March 20, 2007, for Virginia Wood, and one Dec. 10, 2007, for Kelly Gaskins. Neither has been seen or heard from since. There have been several unconfirmed sightings of Williams back in the United States since Virginia and Kelly went missing. There is a felony warrant on file for Ervin.
Fingerprint information is available.
