Details of Disappearance
On Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at approximately 11:15 a.m., 70 yr. old Gordon Gibbs walked away from the Greater Niagara General Hospital, where he was a patient. At the time, he was clad in a hospital gown and pajama pants. He suffers from mental health issues and dementia. Approximately 30 minutes later, a witness reported that a male matching the description of Gibbs was observed looking over the railing into the hydro feeder canal in the area of Portage Rd. and Morrison St. Upon police arrival, the male could not be located. Despite the efforts of family and police, he has not been located.
