  • Details of Disappearance
    Richard Hiatt walked out of his home and into his back yard, and disappeared. He is thought to have fallen into Wallers Creek while trying to protect his home from flooding. He had gone outside his Byham Road home to check his sump pump when he apparently slipped into the creek, which was moving faster than normal because of the floods.
