Details of Disappearance
Pamela was last seen with her companion, Patricia Spencer on October 31, 1969, in Oscoda, a small town in northeast Michigan situated along Lake Huron.
The two were not considered friends, but it is thought that they skipped school together that afternoon. Pamela had told her family she would be home after attending the high school's homecoming football game, and then going to a Halloween party with friends and her boyfriend. Pamela's boyfriend told the family they were supposed to go out that evening, but that she never showed. As her worried mother called around, they realized her schoolmate Patricia Spencer was also missing. A witness came forward saying he picked up the girls as they were walking along River Road, which runs alongside the Au Sable River, and dropped the two off in downtown Oscoda. Other information also indicate the girls were seen downtown that day.
Family insists that Pamela would not have run away. While she was known to be a "partier," she had everything to look forward to - she was recently engaged to her boyfriend.
Neither of the girls have a purse or ID with them. No one has seen or heard from them since then. Foul play is suspected.
