Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Hohenshilt, a 26-year-old saleswoman, left her part-time job at Fisherman's Wharf Restaurant in Ponce Inlet and returned to her apartment in Daytona Beach, where she later spoke to someone by phone. That phone call would be the last anybody heard from Hohenshilt.
Her employer reported her missing on February 17, 1988, when she didn't show up for work.
Detectives found two teeth and blood at the bottom of the stairs in Deborah Hohenshilt's bedroom. Her cats were found unattended in the Tanglewood Street apartment.
Hohenshilt's parents were both dead and she was raised by her grandmother. Her boyfriend was eliminated as a person of interest after friends corroborated he was at Daytona International Speedway for the Daytona 500.
Foul play is suspected.
