  • Details of Disappearance
Holt was last seen at the Howard Johnson's motel in Waldorf, Maryland on April 25, 1996. Prior to her disappearance, Dawn had gone to live with a relative in Florida, at the suggestion of her mother. She returned unbeknownest to relatives. On the day she disappeared, she made a phone call to her estranged husband, but did not show up later.

Holt's mother reported her as a missing person on June 12, 1996, approximately eight weeks after Holt disappeared. Holt allegedly had associates who were involved in drugs, and she was reportedly afraid of these individuals. Dawn disappeared from time to time, but she had never been gone this long. Authorities suspect that foul play was involved in Holt's case.
