  • Details of Disappearance
Cookie was last seen at her residence. None of her personal belongings were missing. Police have found body fluids in the dumpster outside Cookie's home, and have extensively searched the Butterfield Station Landfill south of Phoenix for her remains. The search took 59 days.

at the time of Jacobson's disappearance, her daughter Laura and son Aaron, 13 and 16 respectively at the time, said they didn't know what had happened to her.

There was eventually an admission by her teenage children that they dumped her body, and they were arrested. They were later released due to a lack of evidence. Her son told police he found his mother dead in bed. Because he feared he and his sister would be blamed, they wrapped their mother's body in a sheet and dumped her in the trash behind their house. Her son has changed his story numerous times.

Cookie's remains may be wrapped in a yellow sheet.
