Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Rebecca Kellison was last seen when she left her sister's residence in Denver, Colorado, on her way home in Aurora. She left her sisters home before her sister awoke, and wrote a note, ďIím going home,Ē love Becky. She left the note between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 19, 1976. She was eager to get home so she could study for a final test at Lane Beauty Academy in Aurora she was attending.
Beckyís car was parked in front of her parentís home in Aurora so she likely walked a few blocks and either hitchhiked or took a bus a few blocks from her sisterís Denver apartment near City Park. The next day her family realized that she was missing and made a missing persons report with Denver and Aurora police.
In December of 1977, a farmer was plowing a field in Adams County and uncovered clothing. Investigators dug up the ground and found Kellisonís blue purse with her identification inside. They found her jeans, underwear, black boots, her shoes, brown suede jacket and her short-sleeved print shirt. Foul play is suspected.
