  • Details of Disappearance
    On January 29, 2007, Darrel Kempf of Graham, Washington, was reported missing to the Pacific County Sheriff's Office. According to family, Darrel left North Cove on Sunday, January 28, 2007 at 8.45 pm. He was drving his blue Plymouth Voyager van. He never arrived at his home in Graham. During the afternoon of January 29, 2007, Darrel's van was located on the beach near the North Cove jetty after apparently being involved in an accident. The jetty is located on SR 105 just north of the Shoalwater Indian Reservation. Mr Kempf was not located at the scene.

    After Kempf's disappearance, possible fraudlent business practices on his part were discovered. Detectives from three Washington counties, California and the National Insurance Crime Bureau are working this case. Both because of Kempf's mysterious disappearance as well as for allegations of fraud.
