  • Details of Disappearance
    On September 6, 1975, Sylvia left her Great Kills home with her fiance to see a movie at the old Island Movie Theater on Richmond Avenue.

    He returned stating that during an argument, she thew her glasses
    against the dashboard and ran from the car on Richmond Avenue, around 6 P.m.. Sylvia has not been seen since.

    Lwowski, a recent Wagner College graduate, was engaged to be married at the time and lived with her parents on Goodall Street. Her parents hired a private investigator to look for her, but no leads were found. With Ms. Lwowski's parents, Eva and Joseph, now dead, her brother is her only surviving relative.
