  • Details of Disappearance
Amy Matthews was last seen on January 3, 1984 when she left her Plymouth Township condominium apparently on her way to classes at the Gordon Phillips School of Beauty Culture in Norristown, where she was a student. She has not been seen or heard from since. She has not used a bank account, applied for credit cards or been arrested since her disappearance. Foul play is suspected.

Matthews disappeared during the same three-month period as two other Montgomery County homicide victims, Lisa Marie Gehris and Joyce Koenen. Investigators suspect that all three women were abducted along the busy Route 202 corridor. There is a suspect, but nobody has been charged.
