  • Details of Disappearance
Hope resided on Section Line Road in Valliant, Oklahoma with her husband, Jerry Meek, and their three children. Jerry told authorities that he saw Hope inside their home during the day on February 21, 2002.

Jerry Meek finally reported Hope missing after days of not seeing her, and he admitted to authorities that they had fought the last time he saw her. Jerry Meek told police they were separating and he left $500 for her and then took their three young children camping. He told police it was too cold for camping, so he returned early and found Hope and the money gone, but her pickup truck, keys and cell phone still at the house. She has never been heard from again.

Authorities stated that it is uncharacteristic of Hope to leave without warning. She has failed to contact her children since her disappearance.

The OSBI was involved early in the case and, after ten years of investigation, said they believe that Hope is dead and that she died February 21, 2002, after she and Jerry had a fight at their home.

Jerry Meek was charged with her homicide in 2013, and was found guilty and was sentenced to life with parole.

According to court documents, investigators interviewed one of the couple's children, who told them that her mother and father had been fighting, and that she believed the fight ended when her mother became quiet. The child went on to state that she and her brother had to help their dad cut some carpet in the bedroom, documents state. They went a lot of places including fishing and camping, and Jerry Meek allegedly dumped the carpet near Hochatown.

On Feb. 21, 2002, Jerry was absent from work, and was caught on surveillance tape around 1 p.m. buying two fifty-gallon totes from the Hugo Wal-Mart, investigators stated. He'd just withdrawn $1,000 in cash from his bank account in Valliant.
