On 10/18/06, Donald Messier of Waterbury Center was reported missing by family members to the Vermont State Police.
Messier was last seen at a party in Waitsfield in the early morning hours of Sunday 10/15/06. Messier did not return to work on Monday and has not contacted friends or family members since that date.

Messier has been reportedly depressed over his recent divorce and is possibly suicidal. Family members are concerned that he might intend to harm himself; however, there is no information to suggest that he is a threat to the public. There is also no information to suggest foul play at this time. Messier may have been injured and unable to get out of a ravine, the woods, a quarry or lake.
