Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Kamrie Mitchell was last seen by family on August 25, 2012 in the Branford, Lake City area. That night Kamrie's friend, 35 year old Andrelo Witcher, broke into her home and got into an argument with her and her father Jeff Mitchell over prescription pills. Kamrie called police, but Witcher left the home before they arrived. The next morning Kamrie and her white Pontiac Grand AM were missing.
The missing persons report was filed on September 2, 2012 and her car was found on September 5, 2012.
Mitchell's white Pontiac Grand Am was found submerged in flood water from Tropical Storm Debby. Her cell phone and purse were in the car. Local law enforcement have since performed searches by foot, by horseback, by ATV, and by air, but have so far been unsuccessful in locating Mitchell.
Twelve days after Kamrie went missing Andrelo Witcher was charged and convicted for home invasion and armed burglary, he's serving five years in prison for those crimes. Witcher is a sex offender with convictions dating back to 2003. Witcher denies any involvement in the disappearance of Mitchell. Witcher's ex-girlfriend Heather MacCrossen disappeared in 2007 and has yet to be found.
Kamrie left behind a young child. Foul play is suspected.
In April 2016, Witcher was charged with the murder of Heather MacCrossen.
