  • Details of Disappearance
Mizener, of Waukesha, Wisonsin, went missing while aboard the Carnival Pride ship traveling from Long Beach, Calif., to Mexico. She was on the ship with her parents and 17-year-old daughter, and was last seen around 9:15 p.m. An hour after Mizener failed to show up for a 10 p.m. dinner sitting, two Carnival workers found her purse near a railing outside the ship’s Atlantic Deck. A search of the 2,400-passenger vessel and 130 square miles of waters failed to locate a body.

One of the men who recovered her personal items notice that a nearby security camera was covered with paper, and that Mizener's purse was damaged. The ship was off the coast of Mexico when she disappeared, near Ensenada. Foul play has not been ruled out.
