  • Details of Disappearance
Ms. Mkrtchyan last seen on January 19, 2014. Irma, who worked as a Farmers Insurance agent, had gone to a clientís residence at Allanza Apartments and never made it home. She was last seen near West Desert Inn Road and South Durango Drive. Irmaís ex-husband said he found Irmaís car parked at Allanza Apartments on the day of her disappearance. There was nothing suspicious about the car.

Her boss at Farmerís Insurance received a text saying that she was headed to California for a family emergency, but she never packed a bag and hasn't been seen or heard from since. Although separated for several years, Irma shared a home with her ex-husband Ara Marutyan, raising their children. Homicide detectives have focused much of their investigation on her ex-husband.

Irma's brother has hired a a private investigator, who suspects the Armenian mob may be involved in Irma's disappearance and it may be connected to identity theft. No arrest has been made and no suspects named in her disappearance.

Irmas' mother and brother lives in New York. The family is of Armenian origin. Foul play is suspected.
