Geraldine was last seen on Mother's Day, May 13, 2001 in Riverside, California. Her car was recovered in Las Vegas by Las Vegas PD on May 18, 2001 Investigators believe foul play was involved in her disappearance.

Myers was a religious woman. The Rev. Ray Fincher, a retired pastor from Arlington Christian Church which Myers had attended, recalled an empty space in the pew Myers usually sat. Myers was one of the pillars of the church and had been the church's longest living member until her disappearance.

In December 2004, a jury convicted Bailey Lamar Jackson, 34, of killing Geraldine Myers Jackson also was convicted in the rape, robbery and attempted murder of another woman in Myers' neighborhood about the time Myers disappeared.
