  • Details of Disappearance
Juanita Oxenrider went missing after a boat fire. She was with her husband, Donald Oxenrider, when theor 28-foot cabin cruiser went down off Bodkin Point. The boat was last spotted speeding out to the mouth of the Patapsco before it suddenly burst into flames. The Severn couple, both 29 and recently married, had plans to attend a turkey shoot that day. But they also wanted to winterize their boat and decided to take it out for its last ride of the season. Police found Oxenrider's car at the White Rocks Marina in Pasadena where the couple kept the boat.

The body of Donald Oxenrider was located six months later in the Patapsco River, about a mile from the spot where the boat went down.

Mrs. Oxenrider's body has never been found. She has since been legally declared dead.
