Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Erica Parsons was last seen on November 1, 2011, in Salisbury, North Carolina. She has not been seen or heard from since. The adoptive parents of missing girl Erica Parsons are headed to prison. A federal judge in Winston-Salem sentenced Casey Parsons to 10 years in prison and Sandy Parsons to eight years. A grand jury indicted them after investigators say they defrauded the government for accepting benefits for Erica Parsons after her disappearance in 2011. Casey Parsons pleaded guilty to 15 charges, while Sandy Parsons was found guilty of 43 counts when he was tried in October. The judge "found as fact" evidence that Erica was abused for years, being beaten and having her fingers broken for punishment, in addition to being made to sleep in a closet and being given dog food.
