  • Details of Disappearance
Pearson was last seen at his residence in Grand Bay, Alabama on December 27, 2000. He was a creature of habit who was on Christmas break following a promotion to supervisor at Ingalls Shipbuilding.

Pearson went to a neighbors' house before he was reported missing, where a seasonal mailman was having a hard time finding an address. The neighbors were in Louisiana on vacation, so Pearson told the mailman to leave the package on the porch. The package, which had been mistakenly delivered to the wrong house, contained 10 pounds of marijuana. In a panic, Pearson called the postal inspector and reported the delivery. The neighbors didnít like it he reported the incident to the postmaster, as they had seized the opportunity and sold a lot of the drugs. Pearson had been previously been complaining about the drugs in his community to his daughter.

He reported a burglary at his house sometime during the day. Pearson disappeared before authorities arrived at the scene to take a report. His vehicle was discovered abandoned several days later in nearby woods and officials say the scene at his car was staged.

Pearson had moved to Alabama years before after living in Maryland with his then-wife and their children. He has never been found.
