  • Details of Disappearance
Raymond was last seen on August 22, 2006 in Munising Township, Michigan. He left his home along Monette Road and has not been heard from since. He was last seen by a health care worker. His wife of 65-years thought he may have left to go to the hospital.

Numerous ground and air searches have not been fruitful. Police canines picked up a few scent traces that dropped when the dogs reached the south end of Monette Road, which intersects Alger County Highway 58, about eight miles east of Munising.

Raymond loved to hunt and fish, and law enforcement officials have searched places he had set up deer blinds years ago, given that Alzheimer's sufferers often revert in time to places recalled from memory. Along that same line, his son thinks there are places near Tannery Hill in Munising, where Raymond used to live, that his dad might have possibly made it to, including a homestead called the old Becker Farm. Raymond also enjoyed gardening and raising cows and other farm animals near his home.
