Details of Disappearance
Evelyn Louise Piper, of Smiths Station, told her daughter on Nov. 30, 1994, that she was going out of town and would return the next week. Piper told her daughter that she was leaving for Jerusalem to get married. Piper's daughter believed her mother was joking because she was not dating anyone. Piper had some type of business holding jewelry shows. Piper asked her daughter to hold her jewelry shows while she was gone. Her daughter declined because she did not know how to do them. Piper replied that she would make other arrangements.
Her car was found at the Columbus, GA Municipal Airport. It was parked in the long term parking. No evidence were found that Piper had a plane ticket. The parking ticket to the long term lot has not been found.
