  • Distinguishing Characteristics: Head possibly shaven.
    he had a goatee at last contact with family. Tall and muscular.
    Scar from a dog bite on nose. Tattoo of a "Confederate flag"
    with the words "rise again" on the back of his neck, tattoo of
    "Chinese symbols" that say "drink" on his left forearm, tattoo of
    "skull" and "crossbones" with "green eyes" on the small of his back.
    Had a previously broken left femur.Did have a previously fractured
    collarbone.
  • Medical Conditions: He has poor vison. He did not take his
    glasses with him.
  • Clothing: T-shirt, new jeans, black "Carhartt" hooded jacket
    with a torn pocket, new black and white "Van" athletic shoes, black camacho,
    carrying his wallet with ID and cards.
  • Jewelry: Normally wore a silver watch and a silver band on
    one of his pinky fingers.

  • Details of Disappearance

    David was last seen at approximately 2:30am in the vicinity of Hwy 70 westbound near Blanchette Bridge in St. Charles, MO. Potts was being pursued by the St. Ann police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol when he crashed his car on the Blanchette Bridge on Interstate 70 in Florissant, Missouri at 2:30 a.m. on October 29, 2006. The police were chasing him because they had noticed his car weaving and suspected he was drunk. David jumped over the bridge onto the catwalk below. A later search of the river and both banks turned up no results. He has not picked up remaining checks and his account has not been touched.
