Details of Disappearance
Mark Wade Potts called his mother and told her he was feeling suicidal and was in a lot of debt. Mark Pott's mother advised her son that she would be right over and immediately drove from her Chester, PA home, to his home in Claymont, DE. Upon arrival at Mark Potts home, his mother determined Mark was no longer home and also, his car was gone.
It was subsequently reported by the Delaware River Port Authority, that a man has driven his vehicle onto the Commodore Barry Bridge in Lane 5 between H & G Gantry at 09:35 Am, 5/11/09, exited the vehicle and was witnessed jumping over the side of the bridge into the Delaware River. The man was not seen again. No body was ever located.
The vehicle on the bridge was a 2003 GMC Yukon SUV, color black bearing DE registration PC478018. Keys were left in the vehicle, which was registered to Mark Wade Potts.
