Distinguishing Characteristics: Long hair. Small build.
Appendectomy scar on abdomen. Shelva had a cleft palate, but it
had been repaired at the roof of her mouth. Making her upper lip
small. She spoke with a little distinction. Ears pierced and
belly button. Acrylic fingernails. Usually wore a lot of makeup.
Wore reading glasses.
Dentals: #16 High impaction, #17 impacted,
Diastema between #20 & #21.
Clothing: A powder blue shirt, denim capri pants
with rhinestones on back pockets, brown leather sandals or
sneakers, and a pink purse.
Jewelry: She was wearing lots of 14K Gold.
Gold Hoop earrings; many different strand of gold chains,
and gold bracelets. Possibly a watch on her left hand.

Details of Disappearance
On Sunday, May 28, 2006, at apx. 10:30 p.m. Shelva Rafte left her daughter's graduation party in Nicholson Borough, Wyoming County accompanied by her boyfriend.
Her car was left in the parking lot behind her apartment.
According to her boyfriend, the couple traveled to his residence located on Market Street, Jenkins Township, Luzerne County.
Following an argument in the early morning hours of Monday, May 29, 2006, Shelva left her boyfriend's residence to walk home.
Shelva was last seen in the area of Market and River Streets, Jenkins Township.
Investigators feel there may be suspicious circumstances.
She is know to frequent the areas of Jenkins Township, Luzerne County; Nicholson Borough, Wyoming County; and the City of Harrisburg, Dauphin County.
