Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Larry disappeared from his home the evening of Christmas Day 2009. He made contact by phone with several family members and friends that day as well and promised to see them the next day at a family gathering. He never showed up. His girlfriend came to the police station January 4 to report that they had argued the day before. She said he became upset and walked away from the house; that was the last she saw him. Larry is an outgoing, gregarious, social outdoorsman who enjoyed the company of friends and family. Riegel was unemployed at the time. He has worked as a contract pilot for Cubcrafters, but his federal license had been temporarily suspended due to a recent surgery. He was a lifetime Yakima resident who was well known in the area. He frequented several local bars, including Max’s, Boomer’s, the Old Town Pump and the James Gang Tavern. Foul play is suspected.
