  • Details of Disappearance
Raymond Scott Rupp was determined to be missing in September of 2012 after complaints about a foul odor coming from his apartment off Alt. U.S. 19. Rupp’s dog was found dead in the apartment, but there was no sign of Rupp.

Rupp, a Chicago native who moved to Florida in 2009, was last seen alive on June 15, 2012. Rupp has not been in contact with his family or friends since his disappearance and is believed to have succumb to foul play. He is legally blind and doesn't own a car.

Rupp was estranged from his family.

In late September, a police dog chasing an unrelated scent found two of Rupp's checkbooks in a wooded homeless camp near Nebraska Avenue and U.S. 19 in Palm Harbor.

Rupp had a roommate, Robert Worden, prior to his disappearance that moved out around the time Rupp disappeared. Worden was booked into the Pinellas County Jail for grand theft and uttering forged checks that belonged to Rupp.
