    white spaghetti strap shirt under her shirt. She brought a black “ECHO” brand
    sweater with her.She was wearing dark colored jeans (blue or black). "DC" sneakers
    in black with colorful details in green, blue and pink. She was carrying her
    El Salvador National ID card (DUI).

    She also wore a silver rosary style necklace, and had a rosary bracelet style.

  • Details of Disappearance
    Marilu Noely Alas Santos was last seen September 5, 2012. Her husband last heard from her when she arrived in USA after travelling from El Salvador with her sister Reina. They had just crossed the Rio Grande into Hidalgo County, Texas.

    Marilu lived in New York with her husband and children. Marilu's father fell ill and she returned to El Salvador to care for him. As an immigrant who had entered illegally and had already been apprehended by border patrol once before, Marilu sought to return to the U.S. in 2012 with the help of a human smuggler.

    Marilu and Reina was loaded into a car that had come to pick them up and take them to Houston, Texas. Then Reina was drug by her hair into a separate vehicle and driven to the Palace Inn in Alamo, Texas where she says was raped for two-and-a-half days until she escaped. Marilu is still missing. Her whereabouts are unknown.
