  • Details of Disappearance
Gina went missing from Centralia, WA on February 15, 2014. She was last seen on February 15th when she was released from Providence Centralia Hospital. She was dropped off by a taxi at the 300 block of North Tower Avenue. Schmidt wasn’t reported missing until early May, 2014.

She has not paid any of her bills, returned to her apartment or used any of her government assistance programs. Family and police are concerned because Schmidt suffers from a number of medical and mental health issues. Due to those health concerns, Schmidt cannot work and was receiving food stamps. Her EBT card has not been used since February. Sometimes after a seizure, she would suffer a “blackout” and not be cognitively aware of her surroundings.

She is not violent and is a happy person. She did not use drugs. She’s also very trusting of strangers.

While Schmidt had lived in the Centralia area for about a year, she grew up in Tennessee and most of her family lives there. The only familial ties to the Centralia area were her ex-husband’s family, who have not heard or seen her either. Schmidt has four children who also live in Tennessee.
