Vital Statistics at Time of Disappearance
Details of Disappearance
Harold left home in Falcon Heights in the early morning hours of 02/26/09 in his 2004 Chrysler Crossfire, red in color.
When he missed an appointment with his attorney that morning, the attorney called his girlfriend, who in turn contacted the St. Anthony Police Department.
His Chrysler Crossfire was found abandoned in St. Paul on 3/1/2009, about 4 miles from his home in Falcon Heights.
On March 17, investigators found his blood in the trunk of his girlfriend's car. His girlfriend told investigators that Schroetter might have gone up to Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Onamia and hadn't returned. Investigators learned that Schroetter was in the process of ending his relationship and that he had planned to see his attorney to change his will. Schroetter worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 10 years and never missed a day of work. Foul play is suspected.
